No. It's not like other social media that you can make fake accounts. They verify your identity and you're required to post as your real name.

How long does this website take to send you a verification email? I signed up pretending to be my bitchy neighbor, and have been waiting like 4 hours for the email so I can begin trolling

You're going to get in trouble with da law if you're being serious. They take that stuff very seriously.

Yup. If you're going to troll you need to just create a made up alias. Impersonating another real person is a no-no

They must have changed that. I haven't been on it in a while. He's going to end up talking to the police if he trolls though. That place is serious about that kind of stuff, and he's going to get into shite.

You keep believing that. I know for a fact that someone got charged with harassment for doing this on Nextdoor. Keep on believin' though.

Trolling doesn't have to be harassment. As long as you aren't an idiot there is nothing they can do.

I'd love to argue a case against that

You're an attorney? If so, you should be aware of how broad harassment is, right? His case is still pending, but I'm curious to see how it unfolds. He got charged for doing exactly what Hammertime is talking about.

I don't get the point of this app. Is it to bang lonely housewives? If not, why do I care?

nah but I've watched like every law and order episode.

Like I said, impersonating someone or singling them out is a no-no.

Keep it to simple things like pitbull arguments and the like and you will be fine

What? What's different between trolling a neighborhood message board and trolling a regular message board? I don't believe that at all

You don't have to, but what I'm saying is 100% true. They very actively look for trolls, and usually there's a few police officers that actively post from the parish. Don't say I didn't warn you.

You might skirt by. I wouldn't normally say anything, but I laughed my butt off when he told me. He showed me his posts too, and it wasn't anything crazy, but the police on there posting are looking out for it. It's like a "safe zone".

I just get out of the house and visit with my neighbors every now and then. It works pretty well.

Regarding the cat situation, I've found that you can trap them and carry them away, but more always come and replace them. Trap them and get them fixed, and they tend to stick around the neighborhood. The "colony" stays pretty consistent, they can't breed, and very few new ones come around where there are already cats.

A couple of strategically placed rubber snakes scare the hell out of them for some reason, and they stay away from the driveway and out of the back of my truck...and the yard in general.

Still no email. I tried again with another neighbor's address and the name "Beast Mode". Maybe that's part of my problem.

You have to independently verify your address. With something like a credit card account.
