I used to trap my neighbor's cats, but she was a cat hoarder. Every time I'd get one, I swear she'd just go get another one from the shelter. She brought it up when we had a street party, and my other neighbor just looked at me and laughed.
frick cats and their meowing, fighting, shitting in my yard, and walking all over my mother fricking truck

From my next door:

Yesterday afternoon my wife was sitting in our back yard. A group of 6 or 7 teens were walking by on Old Government. Then one of them threw an orange at my wife and it struck her on the side of her head. Laughing and celebrating they started checking out both of our vehicles. So sad that this great area, been here over 10 years, has come to this state. Very saddening

I bet you're a fun guy to hang out with.

I was on there for a couple of weeks but got off because people felt the need to report on everyone going 5 miles an hour over the speed limit, dogs in their neighbor's yards, etc. and it got annoying.

Just a tip for feral cat management in your neighborhood.
Put the trap in the back of your truck and your neighbors will never see you trapping a cat. Well unless they actually look in the back of your truck.
The idea of that is that when you get one in the trap, you can just pull out of the driveway and drop the cat off in another safe location with having to show your nosey neighbors that you are in fact helping the situation.

You'd win that bet. I'll troll the shite out of people if they can't figure out who I am. Can I set it up that way? Like maybe use my bitchy neighbor's address and a burner email?
I just checked my hood, and there is a black guy living on my street. Didn't know that.

IDGAF about that or them seeing me. This was when I lived in BR. Funniest thing was driving around town with the things meowing to high hell sliding around in the back of my truck (plastic bedliner). IIRC, I got 11 total

if you ever moved into my neighborhood, I would know it was time to leave

We had some drama a couple weeks ago.
A kid was being stupid on a golf cart and almost caused a wreck. The mom got on Nextdoor and just made it sound like an erratic driver tried to run down her kid. She got a few "Aww, so sorry that happened to you" and "Speeding is a real problem," before someone posted a video of the incident and it turned into an all out fight.

I'm actually a pretty good neighbor. Used to cut the grass for my across the street neighbor when he broke his hip. Cut his neighbor lady's grass because she was old and feeble, and her worthless grandson wouldn't. Helped my neighbor put a lift and bumper on his jeep because he didn't have the tools. At my new house, I used to work on this ladies house and car when she needed help.

Exactly. Vermin like baby squirrels, baby rabbits, and various species of birds just make me sick. Kill them all.

Ours is pretty easy to troll.
The best was when some Asian dude blamed the addition of a basketball court for the increase in neighborhood break ins
That one went full on race war

Hold on here, the cats get in the trap in the back of your truck?
I have a house I'm remodeling. There are about 5 feral cats and one of them got in the house and ship one the first floor and second floor.
I've got two of them, but they are smarter than I thought. I've lined the trap with cardboard because I got a tip they don't like the bottom of the traps. It helped.
Any trapping advice to hijack the thread is appreciated. I HATE these things in the city limits on small lots.
Edit- they shite not ship

I don't know that we've ever spoken to anyone unless they force themselves onto us.
As for the topic, I will never join something that sounds as bad as the comment section on news facebook pages. Also we feed the neighborhood cats, so..

Be part of the solution, not the problem!
Are they all fixed, at least?

The hens in my neighborhood have not caught on to Nextdoor so I ended up deleting it.
They get lively on the facebook page though.
There is a 70 something woman that talks quite a bit -
"I counted 13 trash cans visible on the sides of houses on my way in yesterday. What good are covenant rules if they arent being enforced?"
Then she proceeds to get fricking obliterated by the mellinials of the hood.

it has been useful at times and probably 90% of the posts are about missing dogs or people trying to sell stuff

Have to agree with here there, if the rules say keep your trash/recycle bins out of sight, people should do it.

If people would just keep their pets contained within their yard there wouldn't be a problem. The pet owners are the antagonists in these cases. Yes, I understand it's not easy but I don't give a frick. It's real simple, your pet is your problem. Newsflash: Not everyone thinks your pet is as cute as you do.
