Yes there is and traditionally 'former Marine' is the preferred term for someone who was discharged honorably from the USMC.

People usually say this in response to the term 'ex-Marine.'

Either way its dumb. People shouldn't have to type out 'I was a former active duty united states marine...' for you to get the point.

We could build a whose who of badass expendables from this thread.

Hell, Sly Stallone should just kick those other pussies to the curb and just sign these dudes to the next fim.

Idk

I saw a little under 5ft cajun woman grab her 18 year old druggie son and lift him off the ground by his throat.

People are capable of anything with adrenaline pumping.

Although I thought about it one one or two occasions, I thought better of it after giving it a few seconds to run through my brain. My dad would've probably done something similar to some of these other stories, I imagine.

That being said, I had a buddy in college whose dad was a total trashy POS. They had a terrible relationship, he hated him, and he had laid hands on him and his mom a few time, but it wasn't chronic (not that that makes it okay, by any means).

I don't think this friend has ever been in a fight, atleast that I've seen. Been out with him plenty of drunken nights, never angry, never starts shite, but apparently his dad called him over to their family business and proceeded to throw a whole bunch of allegations about him stealing money from the cash register then swung at him. My buddy put a grade A UFC-style beat down on his dad in the parking lot of their family business. Best part of all: It was all caught on their security tape! He basked in all the glory in our friend group for the next few months.

I don't think this is something he's proud of, but he has told me, while his relationship with his father is still not great, it has gotten much better now that he knows not to frick with him or his mom anymore and they seem to be able to openly communicate without his dad being such a cock. Sad to think how hard it is to have a dad that's a TPOS, but you still try and mend things. Takes a really good person to do something like that.

I agree.

Don't get me started on my Dad. He was a Navy SEAL Army Ranger CIA Black Ops Agent. Dude 6'7 and absolutely shredded. I once seent him rip a man's jaw bone off.

My son finally thought he was big enough to try me not long ago. Big mistake on his part. He jumped on me when I was laying down watching tv. Didn't matter. I was able to reverse it and pin him on the floor in like 2 seconds. Completely manhandled his arse. FACT, with age comes strength. And 2nd grade is not even close to enough age to take someone in their mid 30s. A lesson he learned the hard way.

I'm not a former body guard, fighting champion, nor body builder. So I'm at a disadvantage when it comes to raising a son (shite, a daughter might not be a walk in the park). So my plan is to repeatedly humiliate my son physically when he is young so that it is engrained in his mind that dad is just impossible to beat. He is only 1 right now, and I can still handle him pretty easily. I should be able to keep this up through 7th grade with some practice. I think by that time, he will have learned to not step up to me. If not, I hope to have enough money to hire a body guard, because there is definitely a line of trash that runs through this family. He's going to take a swing at me at some point unless I nip it in the bud.

I bowed up to my dad once when I was a cool 17 year old that knew everything. The old man hit me with a 3 piece I never saw coming, fast as lightening. After that I knew not to mess with the old man.

You never got bigger, stronger, or faster?

Hell, I'd train harder to take another run at him and take his arse out.

So was he a pilot, SEAL, EOD, or assassin? I spent 8 years in the Navy and don't recall ever seeing an assassin warfare pin... must be a very small community.

With my smart arse mouth and bad attitude, one day when I was 18 I drove my dad to the point that he attacked me. I was a lot bigger than he was and he'd been disabled by a stroke. Deep down inside I knew I was in the wrong and couldn't bring myself to hit him or hurt him physically. I just shook off the blows he was landing and got in my car and left, all the time feeling this enormous amount of shame for causing so much emotional pain to someone who'd been so good to me.

In all honestly I deserved to get the ever lovin' dog shite knocked out of me. I was one ungrateful and hateful piece of crap at the time. We ended up reconciling and had a great relationship for the rest of our lives, but I still regret my actions that day.
