I get about 45 min-1hr, but it really depends on how often you use the self propelled feature. It drains the battery very quickly.

Another advantage of the electric mower is that you can store it upright if space is an issue since there are no fluids. I recently purchased one and like it, but I also have a small yard. Purchased a similar brand blower so that I have two batteries and chargers.

we have an old fashioned push mower, but while our yard is large most of it isn't grass.

5 years ago, we had a neighbor that had a battery powered one and he was always having trouble with it. I imagine technology has improved though.

We have a battery powered weedeater and leaf blower, and they were fantastic. We will only use two batteries for the leaf blower in the fall. The rest of the time, one will do everything we need. The weedeater never requires a full charge, in fact, we get 2-3 sessions off one charge.

I have the Ryobi 40V, not self propelled. frick messing around with carburetors and clogged fuel filters forever.

I dig mine. I have about 20 minutes of grass to cut and the battery lasts through the entire cut. However, if its been raining a lot and its 100 degrees everyday then you might want to invest in a blower or trimmer or chainsaw, just to have that second battery. Especially if you plan to bag the clippings.

I have an EVO and love it.
I have a very small yard and its plenty powerful.

There is some YMMV involved, but the EGO packs and charger are built to last. The battery packs have integrated fans to keep them cool while charging and discharging. Also the charger intentionally doesn't top the batteries off, and the packs don't run themselves totally dead, either. This is true of pretty much all rechargeable batteries, but I think EGO plays it safer than most by staying further from either extreme. You sacrifice a little bit of run time to get a longer total life.

I didn't see it mentioned yet, but Ryobi has a battery powered riding mower that will supposedly cut 2 acres on a charge. Price is very reasonable assuming it works as advertised.

Gotta know the size of the lawn to give a decent answer.

I have a lawn that takes 30 minutes tops to cut the front and back. I have a Ryobi battery powered mower that I think has 45 minutes of battery life. I've never come close to running out of juice and unable to finish a cut.

If that's the case for you or if you get the extra battery, it is IMO a no brainer to go electric. If your lawn is larger and you may take an hour or more to cut, it may not be a go to for you.
