I got one too. Haven't done much other than music, d/L a few skills, and asked it random stuff we were talking about. I used the timer while cooking Christmas dinner.

I also got the dot. If you plan to have a few of them in your house or want to connect it to a speaker (either through an aux cord or bluetooth) then it is the better option.
I won't have much use for it for awhile outside of a voice activated spotify and uber caller, until I start automating the home (i.e. smart lights, air condition, and locks)

I use it for music, turning on/off the lights, adjusting the thermostat, and other random skills.

Does it do anything more than what I can do with my phone? I mean, it seems to be a slightly upgraded siri.. but its worthless if you are not home.
