For over 99% of them, it never happens, and sadly many of them lose everything. Marriages, savings, etc.
They damn near deserve it for being so stupid and trying to prey on friends and relatives.

Isn't Collis Temple involved in Primerica?

My main point though is that over 99% of the people involved lose money. That means that your friend Bob posting all of those pics from Cancun means most likely that he's racked up mounds of debt to give the perception of wealth to recruit people. He's not wealthy.

Keller Williams, which is pretty damn legit, is a pyramid. You're allowed to recruit other agents and add them to your downline. You then get a percentage of their sales. I forget how many levels they allow.

This is another part of the farce. That BMW is a lease to again make it appear as though the person is successful for recruiting. If they don't meet quotas, they're forced to pay for the lease payments. The motivational meetings is really just them trying to promote the company to their downlines prospects, nothing more. It obviously benefits them if their downlines have downlines.

I'm not saying there are no profitable MLMs, but they are in the very miniscule minority. At least Keller Williams offers a service, and not a miracle pill, drink, shake, etc.

I know. I'm just saying I was kind of shocked to find out they were set up that way. It's one of the only legit ones I know of.

You seem to know a little about advocare ... Would the below chart be anywhere close to accurate ?? Just curious

This is from advocare. The numbers don't lie, and I honestly think they're fudged a bit as well. 90.73% make almost nothing, and are more than likely in the negative after their $500 minimum monthly purchases.

Now that I see the thread bumped, my buddy and his wife that make 4K a month also both have full-time jobs that pay about 45ish a year. So an extra 48k goes a long way. They do about 8-10k a month in volume sales per month.
ETA: I know this because I'm a distributor beneath them and see all of the monthly reports for everyone. The guy above him that makes 30k a month is truly a down to earth guy that you would never realize was wealthy.

If you can be successful in a pyramid scheme you can be successful running a legitimate business.

I'm not going to argue or call you a liar, but these threads always seem to be populated by people that claim similar things like this. The stats don't lie, so congrats on your success, and being in an extreme minority of people in MLMs. You should play the lotto on Wednesday.

30k/month makes one wealthy? Huh.

The worst one now is It Works. Stupid frickin wrap that you put on that makes you lose weight. It's pathetic.

I know of one person in a MLM scheme that has ever been profitable long term, and he's with Primerica. Their offerings are sub-par IMHO, but they are legitimate, unlike Protandim's claims of "it actually helps fight cancer, we're just not allowed to say that since we're not FDA approved" bullshite

I'd like just one logic based explanation to these types of claims.

I'm convinced the people that make these know their product is bull shite and consciously laugh at the people who buy them.
Everybody wants to lose weight with the least amount of effort and these products market directly to those people. I saw the infomercial for the "chair gym" which is essentially a chair with resistance bands that you workout in. You can workout while sitting on your arse! amazing!
