My grandfather killed two guys he saw coming out of his friend's store obviously robbing the place. There was no trial. Different times back then.

I shot a man in Reno years ago just to watch him die.

I'm glad you told your story. Most dudes have seen a few movies and played a few video games and think they'd be like Daniel Day Lewis in Last of the Mohicans and never miss a shot. The reality is you'd be scared shitless and not that eager to actually take a life.

that's the #1 shithead question to ask a vet. First off, if a combat vet shares stories of him killing others then he is full of shite. Please show some respect.

I didn't ask a specific vet. I asked a general question to anyone. No vet is forced to answer if he doesn't want to, that's the beauty of an anonymous message board. You can get answers to interesting questions without asking something to a particular person that may be uncomfortable

I've never had to shoot anyone but have relatives who killed Japs and Krauts in WWII.

IV shots count?

Terminal cancer patient. Liver cancer. Still moaning in pain. DNR papers on chart. He had no blood pressure but still in pain. I gave him Demerol (few years ago lol) and went to lunch. His son was at bedside. I went to lunch and he went to green pastures. It was TOTALLY the humane thing to do. Quiet with his son and dignified. Son never even hit the call bell. I came out of lunch and went to his room and told the son what he already knew.

I know I was right, but it is still a fricked up feeling.

Yea a lot of low security inmates have internet access so it's plausible there are people in this thread currently doing time.

Wait, you mean I can surf TD in the clink? Damn. Maybe I could do time.

Yep, I was the second gunman on the grassy knoll. That patsy Oswald had no clue what he was involved in.

Not me.

Long story but when I was about 8 or so there was an incident in my home where my mom took a 9mm round thru the leg. No doubt my dad was ready to kill if our home was breached.

When we talk about it he says it's a hell of a feeling when you have to flip that switch.
