I feel like the v-6 is good enough for us. I do miss the v-8 though.

GMC Acadia Denali.

V6 24mpg, AWD, entertainment for the kids, heated cooled seats, quad captain chairs with rollflat third row. Rubber mat in the back for the trips to home depot makes it like a truck with a covered bed (will almost hold a sheet of drywall).

43-45k after discounts/negotiating. Is it as cool as my old '07 Z71 Tahoe? No. But it does everything but tow as well or better and you walk with $15-25k in your pocket compared to a similar Tahoe/Yukon.

Love both, but dont see the value on a $75k Yukon Denali, at that price point id rather save the cash and put it towards a vacation home.

The Tahoe has really priced me out, if I have to spend 65k on an SUV I'm buying something better than a Tahoe

I'm sure some do but none of my friend's wives drive anything but SUVs

Same here, but my wife drives a sedan and its 10x sexier than those vans. I have a truck, and trailer, if we need to haul anything and we only have one child. Our 5 series has a trunk big enough for tons of shite and the back seat can carry him and two friends. Sedans are perfect vehicles for moms to drive, but Americans think...well I'll leave the condescending opinions out of this.

IMO luxury/sports sedans are way sexier than say even a supercharged Range Rover (assuming top end of luxury SUVs). Women driving 'vans' just makes me think, sorry about your job. Clearly my opinions aren't the norm and I live in a very non-judgmental place...we don't even have neighborhoods.

if he likes cargo room but wants a smaller vehicle that is more fuel efficient and easier to park the Subaru Outback might actually be something he should look at.

if he wants something with a little more muscle you can get great deals on a used 2014/15 Jeep Grand Cherokee. He should be able to find an Overland edition for $35-$40k if he wants something w/a nice interior.

The Cayenne is the best vehicle I've ever owned by a mile but when I bought it I didn't know I would soon have a 150 mile daily commute. I'm about to trade it for something I don't feel bad putting 200k miles on: either a Land Cruiser or LX 570.

So you telling her that she hotter in the Panamera wouldn't sway things?

We went to the Buick Enclave for a few years. It was great until we had our 4th kid. It actually has a bit of storage even with the 3rd row of seats up.

I upsized.. I went from a Tahoe to a Suburban and glad I did. The ride on my Suburban is 100 times better than my Tahoe

We have a Tahoe and and Yukon XL. Tahoe just as hard to park and no room for groceries with the back seats down. Stick with the bus.

We went from Suburban to Acadia. Yes, the cargo space was missed. We did install the tow hitch and used a rack a lot to compensate. Not sure if the wife would do it again or not. We have since downsized even more to an accord but that's because the oldest is driving and no need for 3 rows anymore.
