Liability is cheap. I keep them to use for work. They do stuff you wouldn't want a newer vehicle doing. I've got a 94 ram with a dump bed missing the grill and it has no sway bars left. But by God it runs, drives and the dump bed works.

Last year, I got rid of my 1999 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner, which was still running very well. It had close to 300K miles, and we inherited a newer car. That would have made four vehicles for two of us, so we parted ways with two old cars, one of them being the truck. I really kind of felt that I was betraying a longstanding, loyal, and trusted friend.

My Silverado has right at 200,000 and I plan to get to 300,000.

I’m not interested in paying $100k for an SUV that will spit out its powertrain at 25k miles because they threw it together too fast to get it right because of the fleet efficiency changes Biden made to kill off IC vehicles.

'97 Jeep Wrangler (first year of the TJ's). 181k miles. Only ever had to do normal maintenance.

2006 Nissan Frontier, it only has around 80,000 miles but it is almost 20 years old. No AC, the old time detachable face cd player has been super glued on since 2011, so it’s radio only. No power steering for a couple years now but I don’t really take it out of town anymore. I don’t see myself ever parting with it.

I don't want to jinx myself by saying reliable.

See, I read this and I am immediately jealous of a man having an 06 frontier with only 80k miles.

Yes a 2006 Silverado 1500HD
Its in rough shape, but it blows Cold AC and it drives pretty well.

Got a ‘12 toyota. 145k miles
Found a ‘13 Toyota Corolla S, 65,000 miles. The cleanest vehicle with that age, I’ve ever seen. Drives like a 65,000 mile car.
The last 4 Toyotas I’ve owned, put a total of over 600,000 miles. Very dependable vehicles.

It needs an entire new rear axle housing potentially, which is more than want to fool with.
Fix it. I sold my '96 triple-locked, supercharged TLC and will never forgive myself for it. Hands down the best vehicle I've ever owned.
