One tow or one call for a vehicle unlock makes it well worth it. Pull the trigger.

Your average tow company gets dozens of calls from AAA daily, they may get two calls a year from your insurance company, if they have to make a choice as to which call is going to get serviced first guess who it is going to be.

AAA is great. I like to road trip, and it is a comforting feeling having that AAA membership.

Yes, one morning I went to get in my car to go to work and found I had a flat tire. I called AAA and went back inside and made breakfast while I waited for my spare to be put on. Totally worth it.

I got it for the first time this year, used once when my truck had to be towed, will not go without out it again. Not sure about the other discounts.

I have had AAA for 10 years now and have used them for towing, change flat tires, replace dead batteries. I have not used any of the other discounts. The membership is well worth the money.

I've had it for a few years. Actually needed them once so far. Worth the money

This is my thought. I guess most people don't read through their insurance policy to know what coverage they do / don't have.

AAA comes out anytime there is a problem. You are never really stranded.

Well worth it. I've been a member 10+ years and they have saved my bacon a few times.

Had to get a new battery installed sitting in the parking lot of Turner Field at 11 PM, easy call to get them there.

Had to get towed when the alternator on my mom's truck died in the middle of BFE Georgia about 1AM after an Auburn football game.

Mom's car battery died a few months ago at our lake house. Drove down there, called them and they came right out and fixed it.

Hotel/attraction discounts are small, but nice in places. But the towing/tire/battery fixes are well worth the price.

Is the AAA membership linked to the person or the vehicle? Meaning if you have 2 vehicles but you want your wife, who drives both vehicles, to have it, do you have to buy a membership for each vehicle or just 1 for wife and she's covered in anything she drives?

You'll save on hotels and travel to some places with it. Plus, it's peace of mind for having such an old car. One tow would run you $150 alone so it's pretty good insurance for that.

There's a ton of dining, shopping, travel & other various discounts available to AAA members. It's easily worth the $38 fee.

I have roadside assistance through my cellular provider for $2.99/mo. I use it all the time for different occasions.

She's covered in any vehicle she's traveling in. Can be a passenger in a friend's car and still use it.

It's a no-brainer in my opinion. Hotel discounts mainly but the service is what is great.

I've had my car towed several times (foreign car with 200k miles) plus had the battery replaced late one night in a friend's driveway when mine died.

Also as mentioned above, it is good for any car you are in, not just yours. I was at my mom's during the holidays and her battery died...I called and AAA came to her house and installed a new battery...within about 30 minutes from the call.

I got it mainly for my wife when I’m not available. I’ve had my vehicle towed twice from my own driveway for different reason. They have changed my wife’s tire a few times and brought her a new battery once. Even used it for a friend once when his car wouldn’t start while we were out of town. Use it for cheaper hotel rates. They offer insurance too but I’ve never done it. You get 10% off at stores and some restaurants. Some states have better benefits than others.

i have it, but have only used it for a flat fix once. the other time, they took so long, i did it myself. i keep it because i don't want to be stranded with a problem i can't handle. we have actually used it to move project cars around on wreckers for no fee.

This.

I've even called to help friends at work. As long as you are a member and you are with the vehicle in need, AAA covers.

I added my daughter to my membership. That way she is always covered no matter who she is with or where she is. I don't ever want her stranded because some bozo cannot figure out how to handle a situation.
