why cant the un send troops to burma, africa, or half these places. I know resources come into play, i dont think religion has a part to play as much, these places dont have a good economy

Yes. Islam is not a united religion. The different sects of Islam absolutely hate each other.

You're kind of all over the place in this thread.

The issue in Myanmar/Burma is about Buddhists ethnically cleansing the Muslim population of Myanmar, but now you're talking about ISIS and Assad.

I'm not knowledgeable enough about these specific situations to comment too much about it, but I'd venture to guess that there's no vested interest to do so, as far as Burma and Africa is concerned. We gain nothing really. It may be the "right" thing to do, but typically the U.S., and most countries for that matter, don't act on just that. They need to gain something. We are only the world police when we have something to gain. (Personally I don't think we should intervene much at all)

I think Syria is a much trickier situation with Russia involved. That has war potential. But I mean, we did bomb the piss out of them.

And eradicating Isis is much more difficult than it sounds I think. They have no central location, or governing body, etc. You're talking tens of thousands of people spread across multiple countries with no real purpose except to wreak havoc in the name of Jihad. That's been an ongoing battle, and from what I understand they're getting weaker and weaker.

Buddhists are pushing out Muslims. Bangladesh, a Muslim country, is taking in refugees from Burma.

Bangladesh is the size of Iowa. Iowa has 3 million people. Bangladesh has 160 million people! Imagine squeezing 160 million people into Iowa. I think the Bangladeshis might be eating the refugees.
