This is what you get for thinking Facebook is a news source.
PBF/Chalmette Refining is doing a major turnaround - the biggest one since Katrina. All four units are in turnaround. For at least a month, they have been very forthcoming about how there may be significant flaring from time to time, especially at night.
Last night, they unexpectedly had to shut down a process while working on it, which resulted in sending a ton of crap to the flare.
Anyone that's surprised by the flaring either isn't paying attention or simply looking to run their mouth and complain on social media.

The flaring was not normal. It was the result of an accident during the turnaround.

Hell, I didn't need an article to tell me that it was outside the norm. I think the butt hurt guy must have a hand in the frick up that caused it and doesn't like all the attention.
