I understand this is somewhat deceiving. They will eat ticks, but only if there is no other food source.

They are a carrier for a neuro disease that kills horses (from grazing on grass infested with possum feces).

My wife saw a possum for the first time as it crossed the road one night right in front of us. She said, "What the hell is that!!!"

We have one that eats cat food on our porch every evening. We call it Jamie. Seems like a nice little critter.

I used to have 3 of them. Mario, Lucius, and Luigi. They loved the table scraps I put out for them.

their lifespan is about 3 minutes once they get into my pasture

I have a persimmon tree that makes more fruit than I can eat. Opossum’s love them!

I've heard they are short on patience and long on tooth. They make great pets...until they rip your face off!

A friend lost her horse to that disease. I understand horse people dispatch them when they see them.
