Had a gf who had a playing possum kink.

They only live for 3 to 4 years, even in captivity. I don’t want to get attached to a pet with such a short lifespan.

I used to think the same thing until I learned that they eat venomous snakes and other wild nuisances. Now I want them on my property.

They reportedly consume a whole lot of ticks. I hate ticks more than mosquitoes. Therefore, I love possums.

Cool little critters, but their life span is only around 2 years in the wild/4 years in captivity.

I have a real possum that visits a few nights a month while I'm sitting outside smoking my cigar. I call him George Jones.

Had a pet raccoon when I was in college, but never had a possum. But I will say that Opossums are Awesome.
