They also knew from their sales numbers that the drug was being abused and hid the data.

And they also told doctors that if people complained of side-affects then the solution was to up the dose.

I’ve lost friends and family. Friends were all guys I played ball with who had injuries and then got good at faking injuries to get the pills. Oxy’s and then Roxy’s which I don’t know if there’s a difference but apparently the Roxy was stronger. Mostly hard to diagnose stuff like gout or tooth stuff until it progresses. One of my close friends ended up taking his life as the lies caught up with him and then the mom died of leukemia. Then his dad killed himself. Horrible situation.

Speaking of heroin , Robert Kennedy stated Kratom is synthetic heroin? If so, that is crazy, they sell that shite at every convenience store.

He didn't actually say that, but he is trying to crack down on its availability. This is what he said and is doing...

There’s another Doc based in South La, Pill Mill.

I watched it years ago

Pill Mill Documentary," the popular Netflix series The Pharmacist (2020) heavily features a case connected to Louisiana and the opioid crisis, centering on a former drug dealer who becomes a pharmacist and takes on corrupt doctors/clinics (often called "pill mills"), including a New Orleans-area one, which resonates with the broader regional issue of prescription drug abuse that affected Baton Rouge too.

An inconvenient-truth for expert-trusters but nevertheless a stone cold fact.

The current fentanyl epidemic is much worse

I’m not saying it’s good by any means, but the dangers of fentanyl is so overblown. If it were as deadly as the gumment says, entire towns would be wiped out.

My only point is that the stupid gumment and media blow it way out of proportion. It’s bad, don’t take it. That’s for the people who may misunderstand my point.

I'm not a doc but I disagree with that, there are addictive personality types

Every human being that takes opioids for an extended length of time will become addicted. EVERY human being. It has nothing to do with an addictive personality or anything else. You and the guy next to you are the same. You will get addicted.

I thought it wouldn’t happen to me. Well, it did and it was terrible. It took me about two years of trying to kick the habit. With several terrible episodes in between.

I remember a guy on here a year or two ago said he took them for a long time and then said he quit. He said his doctor was shocked that he did not have any withdrawal symptoms. 100% that guy was lying.

Of course it can, you just don’t want to put in the requisite effort so instead you’re a drug zombie

I had two friends die from a heroin overdose. They started with pills due to back injuries. Both were in car accidents that wrecked their backs.

Otoh, I have friends that take pain pills and do just fine. Not everyone ends up fricked up.

Where are you saying mass this Christmas Father?

Probably more than half this board smokes weed and occasionally drinks to excess. Maybe you can address your homily to them Your Self Righteousness.

My brother is an opioid addict. It’s ruined his life.
Very sad and frustrating to see how thoroughly it wrecks a person and everything that makes them a productive humans.

Meh. Only people with addictions had the problem if you ask me. If you need and take as prescribed you're good to go. Abuse it like anything else and you're screwed.

You don't get a high like alcohol, weed, and other mind numbing drugs so I don't know what to say.

It does what it's supposed to do. Tough to get off cold turkey. Then there is OIC constipation.

But they haven't consulted with the all knowing, world's smartest person, Mingo the Short, now have they? Had they done that, they'd realize it was simply a matter of putting in the effort.

But I'm sure he'll say "that's not what I said, and if you think it is, you are just stupid."

I reckon that's why he's only 4 ft something tall... he just didn't put in the requisite effort required to grow taller.

More low iq reductionist thinking from you. Don’t be a lazy slob for 40 years. These people are gone, there’s nothing they can do. There’s 10s of millions of people it’s not too late for, but they’re stupid like you are. And that’s how you ended up with fake knees
