I pointed to one quote that nicely summarized the tactics of NDT. Perhaps you missed my later comment, which suggested disregarding the source and using the video to form an opinion. I wasn't supporting the author or the source. I've listened to enough NDT to know that he thinks his own intelligence somehow transcends even the highest of human intelligence. He then resorts to wittily insulting the intelligence of those who dare embrace contrasting opinions.

Yeah, I was just pulling your leg. Just a lowly engineer with a minor in geology who is studying law. When one's theory is based on inconsistent data collected during an insignificant period of geologic time and requires one to forsake the basic laws of thermodynamics, it's simply not a workable theory.

I'm thinking your insecurity that we are largely formed out of chemical reactions is more of a bruise to your ego. You think the world is all about you, your species, and having to serve something higher than oneself. That's fine and all, but the universe's scale is beyond anyone's comprehension. If the sun were the size of the tip of a ballpoint pen, then relatively speaking the next closest star would be 4 miles away and the Milky Way as a whole would be the size of Russia. I think even contemplating that you're not all that special is what prevents you from seeing the cosmos for what it really is. We are pretty pointless in the grand scheme of universal order, and you refuse to even contemplate it.

I don't think that impacting and infraction with others in this lifetime is pointless at all. Scary that some people think that way IMO

We're on the same page. I wasn't calling out anything you said. I simply pointed out the hypocrisy in the article.

I agree. His point has no point. Mine does to try and better the world and the people around me. His is something you'd hear from a North Korean, in "having to appease and make the Dear Leader proud". That's a sad existence if you think that's the only point to life.
