I'm in sales and my biggest group of customers are in the Oil and Gas industry so everything slows down drastically around the holidays. Just following up on opportunities, but visits are slim to none this time of year. Luckily, I have a few customers who are looking to use up end-of-year money before end of December.

I’m off after this week. But this week I’ll be quite busy putting finishing touches on our 2025 marketing strategy.

Is what it is, fiance is an accountant too, so she gets it. Audit season is the rough one, especially where I'm the one signing the financials and values off on our side, but cool thing about PE is generally you only have like 20 pages of notes to the financials to verbiage, tic and tie.

Well, I'm at the office working until Friday, but my mind already checked out from work.

I’m off after 12/20 as well and back at it on 1/2. So this is my last week of the year.

I’ve taken care of most of my actual work and have a bunch of administrative stuff that I have to work through before I’m off. So I’ll be a little busy but not crazy busy.

I'm at work, not taking time off, so will be doing my normal amount of work because I'm not a slacker and stuff still has to get done.

Using PTO during this time is usually a waste since no one is around and projects are always pushed off into the new year.

I'm in logistics so we always get some pre-holiday oddball request each year, but other than that it's usually just coasting.

Except for this year, this year I have a massive bid package that's due in by Friday that I'm hoping to have wrapped up by Wednesday.

I didn't take off last year during this time and felt like I couldn't really do anything because I was checking my laptop for any requests that might pop up.

Also, out of these 11 days, we get 6 of them off automatically, so I'm only using a week of PTO.

Most of our clients are practically closed (if not outright closed) for the next two weeks, so unfortunately this week is usually one of our busier ones.

Self employed. If I don't do shite this week I only screw myself.

Also, I have to clean out a rent house of mine this week of junk people left behind and get it ready to rent. Would like to get it rented out ASAP. Need to winterize it too in case it doesn't rent soon.

We are full bore here all week. Only One day off next week. We are considering working on Christmas Day for 2025.

In the same boat. End of year is always slow for me. Clients trying to close out invoices for end of year and want to wait until new year for new contracts. Revenue normally does well but actual billable hours drop way down

I work for a small manufacturing company. Accounting. We have to post everything at the EOY, so this is the busiest time of year. Still pretty damn easy though.

I never take these type weeks off. The office is always fairly empty anyways so days are short regardless.

It feels like such a waste of leave to just take it and sit around at home. Likely going to Japan in March so that's the kind of thing that makes it easy to forego taking leave around this time of year.

I'll be off 24th - 29th anyway and only had to submit 1 day of leave.
