You're starting to hit that age bracket where you begin to realize the importance of regular mobility work. You can poke around YouTube and find a bunch of free mobility routines and it doesn't need to be complicated or time consuming.

Joe Defranco's Limber 11 is a good starting point to perform before you workout or participate in sports. Cheers

Olive oil. I take 2 tablespoons before bed.
Father Time is pretty good at unapologetically telling you when to pump the brakes. Does that mean you quit training, whatever training means to you? Fuk no. I'd venture to say that the older you get the more important it is to keep training. You just need to put your ego in your back pocket and train a little smarter.

For myself, I train all my compound movements as tempo lifts. You still get a great stimulus but the loads are significantly lighter so far less chance of injury. I'm no longer hung up on this idea that I have to train all my big muscle group movements with a barbell. Machines are great and the variety is nice. I put a lot more effort into mobility and have come to realize I really enjoy general movement practice.

You can modify any training modality to continue to effectively train and make gains. These may not be the same gains you were chasing 20 years ago but you either adapt or die. Point being, die trying. Cheers
Keep in mind I'm not a bodybuilder but do follow the content of FazLifts on YouTube. He's a natural and has been in the game for quite a while and does do online coaching. While I've never used his coaching services, I feel he does put out some really good content. Maybe give him a listen as an option.

re: Pre workout powders

My suggestion is to use the smallest effective dose of caffeine that gets you through your workouts. Do as I say, not as I do. With that being said my current favorite pre-workout formula is Xtremis Cartel El Jefe. Prior to this pre-workout I also really liked Ghost Legend. I like them both for the same reason in that they don't immediately slap you in the face but just give you smooth release of energy and focus during your workout. I can tolerate a lot of caffeine so if you do go this route just half the dose and see how you tolerate it.

I feel it's worth repeating to minimize stimulants in general and you're probably best served with just small amount of caffeine in the form you prefer. Cheers.

-Get really proficient in the basic lifts (squats, deadlifts, presses) before muddying the waters.
-Train around others that are bigger and stronger than you.
-Don't overcomplicate diet. We all essentially know what we're supposed to eat and what to limit. Three well-balanced meals and you're set.

Address your issues with the Department of Natural Resources Office of Coastal Management. You can start familiarizing yourself with the process in link provided. DNR is actually really helpful and they're pretty happy to answer all your questions and lend assistance.

I haven't tried FlavCity yet but their ingredients are really clean and the taste is supposed to be really good. Might be worth a try. Cheers

I still remember when that balloon collapsed and plummeted to the ground.

Another vote for flossing. It's not comfortable while you're doing it but very effective.

Mover's Odyssey is a really good YouTube channel. He definitely covers a lot of stuff that doesn't require a gym and overall a lot of movement patterns that aren't discussed as often in mainstream fitness.

Not all the Garmins have a rucking preset. Here's a list of the ones that do.

Old time bodybuilder Steve Reeves was a big proponent. He called it power walking. I've been doing farmer's walks for a while, usually at the end of my workouts, but by that point I'm usually running short on time and/or energy. I probably should make them a separate workout.

Dan John preaches the benefits of farmers carries all the time but I've also heard him mention the benefits of walking with something like the old heavy hands. I'm pretty sure he mentioned Steve Reeves when I've heard him talk about this.
I've had my 10mm Pioneer many years and really like it. Mine isn't the lever, it's the single prong with the half-increment holes which I prefer.
