Type of stuff has been going on everywhere forever.
Look at Hunter Biden. Look at Huey P long and Dirty Deeds / State Lease 370
Trump tried to use ED on an old lady for a limo parking lot. So there's that.

The eminent domain was for a public road.
I keep seeing references to an RV park. Maybe that’s the source of the traffic demand, idk. But they didn’t demolish the house to replace it with an RV park. They demolished the house to build a new road.

TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. ACT IMMEDIATELY.
This is a very easy case - only if you hire an attorney. Otherwise, (with all due respect to you) not to get an attorney puts you in an unfavorable position.
Without a very experienced REAL ESTATE ATTORNEY, you'll be setting yourself up for someone with a little bit of political power to take advantage of you.
Do the following steps immediately:
1. Speak to the closing attorney that handled the sale. Ask him to recommend the best real estate attorney in TN.
2. Hire that attorney
3. File a law suit naming the following:
- MAYOR
_ CITY of PF
_ THE STATE OF TN
_ DEMOLITION COMPANY THAT REMOVED HOME
_ APPRAISER
_ CIVIL ENGINEERING COMPANY FOR THE PROJECT BENEFITING OM THE EMINENT DOMAIN
_ Power Company
_ Water Company
_ Developer for the project benefiting from the Eminent Domain
- The RV Park
4. File a STOP WORK injunction on the project immediately
5. DO NOT ACCEPT any "out of court settlement"
6. Go to court with a jury.
7. Appeal any unfavorable initial outcome that may be handed down from the local courts.
8. Your goal and preparation should be to all the way to the US Supreme Court, if necessary.
ETA: This case is so easy, i wish I could trade places with her....this is a generational wealth type of payout.

What makes it any easier than any other eminent domain case?

RV park is not what eminent domain envisioned. It is hardly an urgent public need.
ED is supposed to be for things like dams, power plants, and piers. Its been turned into an all-purpose land grab by, Im ashamed to say, a Republican dominated SCOTUS. When they allowed that seizure for “economic benefit” up north, that opened Pandora’s Box.

She is a millionaire (according to her) out of state real estate investor and life coach from Ohio. She bought investment property in Pigeon Forge TN and turned down $130K over her purchase price a year later and now wants the jurors' tax dollars to pay her more than that so that they can build a local road.
Good luck.

Paid to her by who? Its a $360K rent house.

Not 1 single mention about the homeowner being a MILF?
The way she comes across in that article has me rooting for the shyster mayor and the RV park.

My take is this.. the route was planned when they bought the house. They paid $306k and were offered $539k just 14 months later. It wasn’t their primary residence. Regardless of what shenanigans went into planning the route, it’s hard for me to feel too bad at someone who was offered a 76% return on their investment after 14 months.
Sounds like the person who sold the property is an idiot. They always give you way more money than what it’s valued at, if you fight them a bit.

Updated video if you are interested.
Youtube
We share an exclusive phone conversation with the Mayor of Pigeon Forge, where he candidly suggests to the appraisers possible undercutting the appraisal value of our property in an ongoing eminent domain case. The Mayor openly discusses in our opinion how the city's goal was to save money rather than offer us a fair market value for our land. In a shocking twist, he even suggests that we "hit Pigeon Forge with the lottery" during our negotiations, all while acknowledging that he's "negotiating against himself."
This video sheds light on the troubling tactics used by city officials to push their agenda at the expense of American's rights. If you've ever questioned how far government overreach can go, this is a must-watch.
Key Moments:
Mayor suggests to lowballing property appraisal.
Suggests playing a "lottery" tactic in negotiations.
Exposes the city's priority to save money over fair compensation.

Listened to the call. Thought the mayor was pretty candid. He tells them he wouldn’t settle for the first offer (which was $490k). He suggested that they look at what they had invested in the property, all-in, and make a counter as high as they can reasonably justify.
They countered with $3 million, 10x what they paid for the house, and then put the phone conversation on YouTube.
The more I hear about this case, the more I get the impression that the owners are overplaying their hand.

FYI to All, the family was offered $490K and then $539K. They were also offered to rent the house for about 2 to 3 years before the road would come through. They refused and stated they couldn't get a management company to take it, the city also helped with that and gave them two names that would help for the short period of time. They again refused, that is when the city filed for eminent domain. The city deposited $490 with the court in Jan 2024 when the case was filed. Their attorney requested $400k to pay the mortgage with the balance to be paid to the family. The mortgage was recently paid just over $220K and they received just over $179k in their pockets. The campground had nothing to do with the Westside Connector as the road had been planned for 30 years. They now state it was never about the money, but just wanted the road moved, But, their new attorney has threatened to file a Federal Lawsuit for $20 million. They have blocked me on their YouTube channel, their Instagram and their TikTok. They have a person in Colorado called Real Wicked Witch of The West who has been assisting them and she has also blocked me when I tried to post the facts out on her site. I have so much more and the documents to back it all up, they are gaslighting people and lying by omission to spin their narrative and click bait.

Drove through Pigeon Forge on the way to the Smokies one time. I can't fathom wanting to take your vacation there

I get that due to the traffic. We go down 3 to 4 times a years and the park itself it worth it. We go during the week and leave of Friday to avoid all the traffic. If we stay in a motel, it's always close to the park...

I know you're new here and probably registered because of this thread, but how did you find it in the first place? Did you lurk here and this topic drew you into posting? Just search the topic on Google and this thread showed up?
I always wonder how people with specific knowledge of an oddball topic or a connection to it wind up here.
