Long story short, I had an accident yesterday that has caused some dental issues that will be addressed this week. In the meantime, dentist prescribed tramadol for pain - Ive never taken it and it appears to have some wicked side effects.

Anyone with experience?

Yep its Tylenol and lo dose codons.
Its okay but might have to take 2.
I drink so I rarely take them except for tooth pain. It works pretty good.

My wife was taking it for something but stopped after she started hearing shite that wasn't there.

ETA: Hey you downvoting dipshits, one of the side effects of tramadol is auditory hallucinations.

It is an opioid narcotic, just very mild.

Haven't but know several that have. Some had no side effects while others are sworn against ever taking it again because of the insane side effects. Guess it has to do with body chemistry or something.

I was prescribed both tramadol and oxycodone after surgery to repair a torn biceps tendon. Was instructed to alternate the 2 every 2-3 hours during the 1st 2 days after surgery.

Pain was manageable but I don't think I was able to take a shite for like 10 days after the surgery.

I imagine I was prescribed this because its classified different and the dentist was able to just call it in on a Sunday. Mississippi requires hand signed signatures for narcotics, apparently.

I just need to sleep. Going to be a long week.

I have. It can have side effects, like with everything. Take it as prescribed and only when you need it, and it shouldn't be a problem. I never had issues with it.

FYI: we had a dog who got it prescribed by the vet after back surgery. Got it filled at a pharmacy just like any other prescription, but it had his name on it. Weird.

Edited to say: the pup got addicted, ended up whoring himself out, and we had to do an intervention....it was a whole big thing.
