Do you have to have registered them when you bought them to get the free repair or replacement? I had to reglue the rim around the lenses with super glue. And the lenses are getting a little beat up.

I send glasses to them all the time. There is typically a small cost associated with most repairs unless the glasses are practically new.
the most I ever spent on a repair was $88 and that was because both 580g lenses had to be replaced after I sat on them in my boat.
it won't be a lot, I've found them to be fair

i'm curious what the response "possible costs" would add up to be.

Very close to the price you're paying at the store.

Yes, but they charged me $80 to replace the lens. I had them for 3+ years so it was time to buy a new pair after that.

I had harpoon style that my infant son snapped in half and they charged me $60 to replace the frames plus S&H, but when I got them in they were brand new.

Had a pair of aviators that had small cracks where the lenses attached to the frame. They had a new model and replaced them for free. I paid S&H.

I have found the customer service to be excellent. Roughly $75 for two pair that cost 170-185 each

Sent a pair for frame repair and it was pretty cheap.
Broke a lens and it was around $100 and they sent a new pair.
Broke the lens again and just bought some Ray Bans.

There is about an $18 service fee for warranty service, that's the only fee I've had to pay in your circumstance. That is provided you go with the same type len's you had, to upgrade to glass from plastic would be an extra $80.

I sent my Tags in and was told the same thing. I asked them what were comparable to the Tags and the said the salt breaks were. I told them send me those and about 3 days later they arrived in the mail. Also sent the salt breaks in because the rubber was coming off the nose. It cost me $11 to get them fixed, and that was just to cover the shipping

I’ve been wearing Costa’s before it was cool to wear Costa’s. 1993 or so. Maybe 1995.They have the best customer service hands down. They have replaced and repaired no less than a dozen pairs for me. Most of the time replacement, free. I bet they don’t charge you anything. Especially since your original was discontinued. They have been consistently great for 25 years.

I did a few years ago. My frames had been discontinued as well. They gave me the same line. The additional cost was shipping and handling.
