Not a bank but more of a business. Pretty sweet plan too. I got caught up with a bunch of German and Swedish dudes back in the 80s and we decided to knock off this high rise with some on Christmas eve with some Japanese business at the top. Our ring leader sold me on the idea of after it being over I could just live sitting on a beach earning 20%.
Everything was going according to plan until some arsehole off duty cop staring offing our team 1 by 1. Things were getting pretty sketchy, and I just decided to bounce once the roof exploded. I heard our lead man got thrown off of the 27th floor or something. Glad I left when I did.
Not a chapter in my life I am all that proud of.

No, but BofA robbed me once.
Freshman in college I had $800 to my name, moved to a new city, and got ready for college life. Went to a Bank of America branded ATM and tried to get $20 for the Friday evening party. Insufficient funds. I was like, what? Kept trying. No joy. Monday morning I cut class to go to the nearest branch. They said I had clearly made however many $20 withdrawals on Friday evening. I got it taken care of through a friend of the family, but haven't used BofA or an ATM again nearly 40 years later.

No, but I have robbed a bank in real life.

Why would I rob a bank ? I don’t need their money.

I’ve never robbed a bank but I feel like I’ve been robbed with interest rates on loans I had.

Just shows you who the true money men with power are in this country. You don’t frick with banks and insurance companies.

As a retired Federal Probation Officer, I’ve supervised lots of bank robbers over the course of my career. Most of the time, they’re strung out on something or mentally ill. They do it with the expectation of being caught. They tend to have very high recidivism.
I once had a touring drummer for Lynard Skynard band who turned into a bank robber. His was drugs of course.

How do most people rob a bank? With a gun.
How do most people rob the world? Become a bank.

Do people even rob banks anymore
I kind of thought this too, but it seems like it was only a couple of years ago there were 1 or 2 in Lafayette. Pretty sure the only reason I know about them is because they were posted on here. Maybe someone will do the diligence and post some links to those. I don't really care enough. For the most part though, I don't see why anyone would attempt it anymore, because it's no longer a matter of if you will get caught, just when. It isn't going to happen like point break with the president's masks.

I worked in banking for years. I feel like I was robbed every time I looked at my paycheck.

I worked with one. Remember the day two feds in suits walked down the middle of building ( large woodworking shop) and asked me where the foreman was... They walked to the break room. A couple minutes later foreman walks back to Mill area and he and this nice guy walk to break room... Place was surrounded by cops
