saw this girl from my past at a funeral recently...hadn't seen her in 15 years...basically I was driving up to Tennessee to frick her every weekend for a whole summer....well....long story shirt is..i got another girl pregnant....girl in Tennessee thought we were exclusive....I immediately ghosted her when finding out about becoming a dad...she was a sweet girl who was very innocent and was giving me some good pussy...honestly she may have been a great long term girlfriend/wife after seeing the way she is now...I felt terrible...she was very gracious about my apology....

Hell. Some of my best friendships started out with us beating the shite out of each other. We took a more direct route to things back then I guess.

No, but I went back to middle school when I was 30 yrs old. It wasn't as cool as I thought it would be.

There was one kid in elementary school everyone picked on. I guess I kind of picked on him too. I always felt sorry for him so I would halfway stick up for him.

In high school I tried being friends with him but he wasn't having it. He completely hated me. I still regret not being a better friend in elementary school. Kids are such shite heads, myself included.

Bullying has become a big issue.

currently a vicarious liability claim against a Dairy Queen (DQ was in a university) because a kid killed himself due to his manager bullying him. It was bad, too. They'd make him lie on the ground, belly down, and clean the floor while throwing cheeseburgers at him.

These are grown frickin' adults we are talking about.

I suppose I wasn't unlike many youngsters in that in grade school I was insecure and would sometimes join in on group teasing of some poor soul. I never really was one to start it, but I definitely participated to save face and make myself in some sick way feel better.

I remember one kid in particular used to get it so badly that he had to change schools in 7th grade. I ran into him 15 or so years later, and he was successful and engaged to a hottie (no pics).

Middle school kids are pretty ruthless. I have an almost identical story to yours but the kid never left school. I was good friends with him and he started to get "in" with some of the popular kids. Then all of a sudden, the popular kids decided that they didn't like him any more and basically treated him like an outcast. They just acted like he didn't exist or purposely avoid him. It was so bizarre and I was just confused. It became apparent that if I kept associating myself with him, then I too would be treated the same way, so I went along with the crowd. I still feel pretty bad about it. Eventually, the popular kids stopped the charade, but he seemed like a different person after that. He didn't do well in high school and got expelled for something, then returned later, but his life went in an odd and downward direction, and we just lost touch.

Slight hijack for a csb irl bullying situation in my son's 6th grade year.
While he's a decent athlete in size/strength, he's nothing special.
This bully on the bus was plucking/flicking a small 6th grade boy in the face.

My son pulled the ole "Pick on someone your own size". The bully flicked him in the face and he laughed it off. So the Bully pimp slapped the shite outta him...

all hell broke loose.

He beat the bully up to the point he was cheered by the kids on the bus. My oldest daughter(8th grader also on the bus) said the students chanted his name.
shite sounded like it was some 80s movie and he just knocked out Buddy Revell. I was obviously proud of him but still expected suspension.

The principal didn't suspend anyone, but just fussed at them both pretty good.
Then privately to us, he praised my son's response as it worked out perfectly. All three got along as friends afterwards.

Was encouraging to see that some folks still have faith in letting 11-13 yr old boys figure out some important life-lessons themselves.

TLDR my son beat up a bully who preyed on littler kids ,and was subsequently cheered by classmates AND praised by the administration.

Yes, I apologized to a female I was incredibly rude to when I was a teenager about 10 years ago. I am glad I did it.

Or maybe were the recipient of such an apology?

When I was 17, one of my sister's friends apologized for being mean to me when I was younger. He was also trying to get her to go out with him, but his apology was sincere.

Bullying is all about the perception of power. Singing koombayah isn't going to remove the perception of power from the bully.

I mean, Scott Fargas never messed with Ralphie again after he got his arse beat. Just saying.
