Give it time yet. Wife crossed the bridge into/out of Louisville, no toll booth-took almost 3 years to get billed.
Or call and ask?

How worried should I be about the apparent missed Richmond-area toll from just over a year ago now? I've never seen a notice..
I cant imagine being worried about a missed toll from over a year ago.
If you are worrying at all about that, I shudder at the thought of you being a week or so late on a credit card bill.

All the time. Usually in rentals so I assume they have a pass but unless I see an attendant I’m rolling along.

You should turn yourself in to the nearest police station immediately

HCTRA has one of the best user websites I've ever had to use. Kudos for that effort.

I receded one from Tampa till a few years ago. Never been to Tampa and it was a Jeep Rubicon in the picture of the ticket which I don’t own. I called the company and chick said it was a plate reading error and she cancelled it.

if they don't mail anything how the hell would I know?
You'll know when you get taken in on a bench warrant.

I've run through a couple in Florida. Florida sent me a couple letters that I ignored. They stopped sending them after a while. That was a couple cars and houses ago. frick them and their palm trees.

About 10 years ago I was in a rental car driving back to O Hare and came up to a toll booth. The booth still had buckets you could put coins in and it was 75 cents or so but I didn’t have that much. I scraped up what I could find which was a handful of pennies and nickels and threw them into the bucket really hard to see what would happen. Never got a ticket or heard from the rental car company so it must have fooled it.

In Oklahoma a PikePass sure beats the plate pay crap, but they will mail a bill to the registered owner

In Houston, there haven't been toll collectors in the booths since COVID. I don't ever recall seeing cash based tolls in DFW or AUS, ever.
In 2014, I had to change flights at the last minute to fly into LGA? instead of EWR, which meant I had to go into Manhattan in order to get to either CT or Armonk. $18 or so to cross the bridge, and they didn't take credit or debit. A state trooper had to use a special form so I could pay when I got back to IAH.
No credit or debit. In 2014. Toll tags or cash only. GTFO here.

Yep. I got one crossing the bridge to Indiana from Louisville. Didn't even know it was a toll bridge until I got the ticket in the mail. Ignored it. That was about 10 years ago.

Yep. When traveling though Charlotte if traffic in the normal lane comes to a crawl or stop, I jump in the toll lane. They snap a pic of my plate and mail me a bill.

I did in texas and they never mailed me anything

There is a known texting scam for unpaid tolls that is absolutely a scam. Google it. If you didn’t get a notice I’d call them not pay through the link in the text.

I was driving a rental in some Chicago suburb on a very foggy morning before dawn. I knew a toll booth was coming up but by the time I could see the signs, I was corralled in a “tag only” lane. I didn’t have a choice so I ran it.
The rental company sent me a bill a few weeks later.

Got mailed a bill for one in Texas for like 75 cents. Had to have cost them more to mail the bill

Lots of tolls now are going to just sending via mail if you don’t have a tag.
