Long story short, when my grandmother past, I was supposed to have inheritance, but I learned after the fact that my aunt got her to redo her will (she had alzheimer's and right before she was put in a home, they got her to redo her will, which took two days of pressuring her to do so) and was able to gain access to her money.. And invested with The Stanford Financial Group.

If you are not familiar with the SFG, you can read about it here.

You are correct, but when you get too greedy you tend to make stupid decisions.

One of my nephews is the biggest trash person ever. Drugs, stealing money from dying grandparents etc.

Sis is an adderrall addict and pawned 2 nice watches of mine and one of my wife’s pendant necklaces. Not royally screwed like you but it created drama in our whole family and we haven’t spoken since....it’s been 4 years.

So you are going to let him do whatever he wants to you.

Next time you plan to see him.. Get some pepper spray.. Catch him off guard, hit him with the pepper spray and say "that's for leaving my magnalite pot outside bitch!"

Why are you lying?

Once a person is diagnosed with alzheimer's, they immediately lose their rights to change a will and testament. They are deemed unable to enter into new binding contracts.

You can’t lose what you never had.

I’m assuming you’ve never talked to her about it because you wouldn’t be here bitching.

Damn, I don't know. She directly stole from you and your wife.

I know people get addicted to adderrall, but I didn't realize they would get that addicted..

No. Not yet.

My direct family is all financially secure and good with their money. I’ve “loaned” a decent amount of money to cousins before, but never really expected it back.

I do have an uncle that tries to talk me into some new scheme or side business with him regularly. He likes to get a few drinks in me then will usually have to show me something amazing on his phone, then he goes from there. And I have to turn him down every time. One day, he’s going to strike gold and I’m going to regret giving him an automatic No.

valid question, and I was a bit too flippant with my words

They can make legal decisions, but an opposing attorney could easily call into question their mental capacity in the time of making those decisions. The official diagnosis will hold a lot of water in any judicial decision.
