England used to marry cousins to keep family lines pure.

Now look at it. It's a shithole.

Don't be like England. Don't marry your cousin.

I had a friend who started seeing a girl from a town about 10 miles from where he grew up. They were in a committed relationship for about 9 months before the family realized who they were and broke the news to them. They don’t know beforehand. Messed them up pretty bad and they broke it off. It was prob several years before the guy was able to get over it. She was a great chick too

Fell in love? Mainly 2nd or 3rd not 1st?

The community I grew up in was known by my mother's maiden name. I didn't realize it until later in life at family reunions, but almost every kid riding my school bus was a cousin. Had 29 first cousins and untold numbers of 2nds and 3rds, and the girls were universally attractive - beauty queens, class favorites and cheerleaders. Good looks ran in the family genes. Weddings and funerals with attendance by extended family was a bit like speed dating. At young ages there was certainly some attraction or infatuation among the group, and just maybe perhaps a little hanky-panky. But love and marriage? No.

Keep us posted on your cousin relationship, OP. And pics to judge if she is worth it.
