What age did you do it and how long has it been? Any deterioration? How was the surgery process? Do you regret it?

Company gave a pretty large benefit made it almost a no brainer but curious on long term effects. There’s new technology like prk and smile but too new for me to try.

No. They've only done it on pit bulls thus far.

At what age did she do it? Heard after 40 or so near sight deteriorates and still may want to consider reading glasses

Did it 7 years ago...do not regret it at all. Surgery was super easy for me, just lay there. The only negative is when you wake up every day you have dry eyes, but blink a few times and all set. That is a small price to pay for not having to deal with glasses and/or contacts. I had actually become allergic to certain contact lens material and it was becoming very aggravating. 7 years in and my sight has remained great. DO IT!

OP would be better off using the health benefits to get gender reassignment surgery to become a man

It's great. Eventually you may need readers. I'm 57 and have been using readers 4 or 5 years, had lasik in my 30s.

I had it done when I was 35. I'm 56 now and still see fine for distance. But at 50 or so I started using cheaters for reading.

Best money I ever spent. I was a competitive mountain bike racer and contacts SUCK. I had several races where I had to stop mid race and clean the dust out from under a contact.

Run, don't walk to the clinic and have it done.

It messed up my contrast sensitivity. So, it's more difficult to see in dark areas than before, yet bright light is even brighter than before. I still would do it again, though, given all of the hassle with glasses and contacts.

44 now, did it about 20 years ago. One eye never got better than 20/25, but the other eye has been 20/20 since. Did have to get computer glasses recently with very minor adjustments, but that is to help more with eye fatigue.

Have a friend that did it around the same time as me. He's 38 and within 10 years of the surgery his eyes were just as bad as they were pre-surgery.

I have no regrets, obviously he does because it didn't take. The process was simple, only issue I had was my left eye started twitching involuntarily (the one that is 20/20) during the procedure. Recovery took me 3 days, but I have heard it's a much faster recovery process now.

I had it done 20+ years ago in my early 30’s. They did each eye on separate days. The only thing that was challenging afterwards was the glare from traffic lights at night. That went away after about six months. I’m sure they have refined the technique by now. I would do it again.

Got it at age 30- 12 years ago in June. Definitely noticed some changes in the past year, but I believe it's more natural aging of the eyes than anything else. I was 20/10 in one eye after surgery. Never regretted it one bit- wish I had done it at 25 instead of 30.

I had lasik 17 years ago

It lasted 10-12 years before I started to have to use readers and resetting drops
