A guy I know married one. She was a Ravens cheerleader before being a flight attendant. He was a Southwest Pilot. They met on the job.

I know it doesn't sound true. I was actually asking myself "is this really happening" while it was going down. Especially when she asked me to use the neck of the bottle of Merlot on her....

That would be the best relationship ever. You only have to see her now and then. You get to have sex when you see her. Even if she isn't faithful, who cares. Sounds awesome to me.

I'm friends with a girl who has been with Delta for about a year now.
She said the training was no joke, and it was the hardest thing she's had to go through (work wise). They flew people in from all over the world and like half dropped out halfway through the process. It's not just "serve people drinks"...in their initial round of tests they have to memorize the airport codes for basically every airport in the country. They have to know a ton of shite about the plane and flight mechanics, in addition to all the other stuff you'd expect. I'm not saying it's brain surgery but it's a lot tougher than just "walk in off the street, get hired, start handing out peanuts".
Also for people saying all flight attendants are whores or whatever...I don't think that stereotype really fits anymore. Look around, most flight attendants (that are female, so not gay guys) are older women or not attractive at all. The ones that are attractive aren't going to be any more or less promiscuous than any other young attractive girl in any profession, IMO.

My neighbor growing up was a pilot for Continental at the time and was sleeping with a flight attendant from one of his main routes. Ended up divorcing his wife at the time and marrying this skank. His relationship with his kids has never been the same. Was a sad situation all around. Jewish family if that has anything to do with it.

Fortunately she wasn't one of the hairy ones

I have a good friend who is an FA for American, easy on the eyes, and she gets numbers from dudes all the time on the plane. So there's definitely the temptation there. Also what sucks about being a young FA is their schedule sucks, they are always flying the shitty regional routes until they get more senior.

I met a FA one time who was a Master Sergeant in the Air Force. She was stationed at Barksdale and did the Shreveport-Dallas hop on weekends.

This is true, my wife has to attend training classes on how to work on different air frames and be qualified.

Seems like a sweet gig. She hardly ever works it seems like and is always traveling. They bid on trips or something, so it's not like it's an assigned schedule. Seems like she'll work a week straight spending overnights out of town, but then be off for 2-3wks.
She does drink a lot at the hotel bar or nearby bars with fellow crewmembers so I'm sure she's getting laid fairly often.

She must do ok. Nice apt in good neighborhood of Chicago, travels to Europe at least twice a year, girls' trips to Napa, NYC, Miami, Caribbean etc every few months. This doesn't include her trips home to Nola 8-10 times a year.

Sat on the back row and witnessed some guy picking up on an attendant on a flight once. He claimed he was a golfer in the PGA tour, and it appeared he knew what he was talking about... had me convinced. The attendant hung out in the back the whole time with this guy, flirting and laughing. Pretty sure they left together.
Anway, I got home and looked up his name. Turns out he was a caddy for the LPGA (ladies) tour.

My uncle did and married her 45 years ago. She worked Continental flights that ferried troops back and forth to Vietnam. Very straight laced, very nice woman. Not like a friend who flew for American for a while and fit the stereotype perfectly.
