What is the stance on illegal immigration from any country?
Irrelevant to the archdiocese’s message about as they do not represent another country beyond the Vatican.

Being a human being to others takes very little yet it's so often elusive to people here in America. 99.99% of "us" did nothing to be here "legally" except be born here, and our parents did the same.
There are plenty of people that have migrated here through various channels who work hard, contribute to society, pay for goods and services, and work for sub-optimal wages. Is this, by itself, a reason to kick them out of the country?
This is the kind oh nihilistic horseshite that’s so maddening.
“You’re just an America because you were born here. Why don’t you just let Jose and his 68 other family members come here because they work hard. They’re just as American as you”
The only reason people like you say that is because these people don’t do the kind of work that would threaten your job. When some H1B comes in to threaten the jobs of people who can scoff at blue collar workers, it turns into “a real problem”.
Is it nice to be nice to people who are looking for a better life? Absolutely.
Is it nice to flood the country with a labor supply that causes massive drops or stagnation in wages? No.
My loyalty is to America and its citizens. These Catholic organizations are being paid off to traffic people into this country for 100% sinister political reasons.

I wonder if illegals are allowed to hang out in Vatican City, mooch off the government, and never have to fear being returned to their country of origin no matter what they do

Don’t forget that nice wall around the Vatican…

Jesus would tell them not to break the law.
Why is deportation seen as inhumane? It's not like we make them walk back or hide in a container or a dry van. They are treated much better than when most of them arrived. And if they don't fight or run, it's pretty harmless.
You are not supposed to be here! So when it is time to render unto Ceasar what is his(living here illegally), follow Jesus's teachings.

Submission to Governing Authorities
13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.
6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
Love Fulfills the Law
8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,”[a] and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”[b] 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
The Day Is Near
11 And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.[c]

It's very hard to take anything these guys say seriously given the insane shite they've covered up over the last 15-20 years that have come to light.

Jesus was a migrant
Hate to bring your house of cards down, but it's just too easy.
Egypt and much of the middle east was under Roman control at the time. Thus, they were not migrants to a foreign country. They did go to an area with a different governing ruler though, as you know the rest of the story.

National security and the protection of human dignity are not incompatible. We must advocate for a just solution to this difficult situation in our country.
The just solution is to deport all illegals.

Catholic Charities which is supported by the church has been worrying more about illegals than their own church goer's. They are misguided. You guys need to talk to your peeps about this.

You should ask the bishop how many millions, if not billions, his diocese and or some catholic charity got during the Biden years for “immigration assistance”.
I’m a faithful Catholic and too many bishops are whores for the dollar.

On one hand, that's fine. We are children of God first and finally, playing with earthly boundaries and rules while alive. Those who are illegal should be concerned for being found, and by the appropriate rules of Caesor, a country can and should enforce borders.
Once they are returned home or the search to rightfully arrest them is passed, then they should come worship.

They read a statement about supporting Obamacare years ago. I’ve not been back.

How would Jesus treat "illegals"?
Very telling how some "Christians" are reacting to this.
What time is dinner at your house? There are limits are there not? So sick of the notion that Americans have to allow a political mass disenfranchisement in the name of charity. NOBODY preaching to give all is giving all.

I pretty sure everyone’s priest read that statement. I don't think they had the option not to read it, but I could be wrong. I was shaking my head while ours was reading it.

Why are people surprised that Catholic leaders support open borders?

Can the illegals partake of the sacraments?
Or do they get a bullshite "blessing."
