I have...
But yesterday I get a text with this message...
Anyone have this app, or is it a bunch of BS and another charge on your phone?

Hi, It's AT&T, Tired of spam calls? Active-Armor is "free" with your wireless service, but you haven't activated it yet, download the app, and customize your call routing settings and only get the calls you want. Date rates may apply.

I’m getting a ton of them. Just ignoring them.

Since Trump brought peace to India/Pack it’s drastically picked up.

In the last few months I've gotten a ton of local area code spam calls. Before it was 1-800 type numbers.

I think I’m about to go to Guantanamo bay for not paying a toll in Massachusetts

I have Verizon and I get at least 2 calls every week from the NC 919 area code where they call and leave a 5 second voicemail message with nothing on it. I keep blocking the numbers and they continue. This has been happening for 4 months.

Yes, every one of them want to talk to me about my loan approval. Is it possible they're trying to get you to answer and say something just to get a sample of your voice and use it with AI technology for something more sinister?

Not as many since India and Pakistan have been going at it.

I have active armor and still get calls but they get sent straight to voicemail by the app.
The past couple of weeks I’ve gotten calls 2 or 3 times a day about some stupid life reset, qualified for a loan and the stupid past toll dues. Its has gotten out of hand.

When we had att, we used the active armor thingy. Didn't slow down the spam, though.

My phone is old. I badly need a new one, but I have this one right where I want it. The last spam call I got was on September 9 of last year. I've managed to never answer a spam call with this number/phone, and it has paid off. I just have a feeling that when I have to break down and buy a new one from AT&T it will not be the same.
ETA: The key is to just never answer that first spam call. My voicemail is set up to tell people that if they are calling from a number I don't know I will not answer and they will either need to leave a message or send a text. Also, I'm a droid user, and always will be. I know it is a personal anecdote, but the people I know whither iPhones seem to get way more spam calls.

If you have an IPhone you have the option in the settings to silence unknown callers automatically. They can still leave you a voicemail.

I didn't get any yet today, but I got around 15 the last couple days. I haven't answered any but they are all coming from a 337-270-#### with the last 4 being different every time.

If on iPhone, you can go to Settings, Apps, Phone, and turn on "Silence Unknown Callers"
If it's a legitimate call they will leave a voicemail or text

I had that for awhile but had to have them remove it. It would block the verification code texts from my bank and whatnot so I couldn't log into certain things with dual authentication.
