Those sum-bitches are building subdivisions in my yard, with a small mound only a few inches away from a larger mound.

Is all the rain in the B.R. area affecting how fast they are spreading?

I keep spreading ant poison, but all it seems to do is to drive them a few inches away where they start over with a new mound.

Late freeze here in CenTex seems to have really knocked them down

I had several in my yard, but when I kicked them, there was no one home.

Bugs are as bad or worse in my backyard as they’ve been in years. Part of it is my grass has grown crazy high because of the rain consistently keeping it too wet to mow.

You need to spread Talstar PL Granular every 4-6 months.

Treating the mounds individually is just whack-a-mole.

I can really tell when I'm overdue on my yard as ant hills start popping up around the property lines.

I buy mine from Peststop in BR off O'Neal and it's been competitive with online once you figure in shipping.

Make sure to set your spreader to a very fine setting, Talstar is a very fine granule like very fine sand. I typically use a hand spreader for a concentrated treatment around the home perimeter and then a walk behind broadcast spreader for the rest of the yard.

Side benefit it keeps fleas at bay if you have dogs.

Glad you posted this. Thought I was the only one. Bought my current house in 2021 and don't think I've had a single ant hill in all that time. The last few weeks I've got them all over suddenly.
