Yes, and I don’t drive outside the area often so when I get on the basin bridge or in Lake Charles it’s hands at 8 and 10

Generally, yes. It was much worse when I was younger.

Oddly enough, I have no fear when in an airplane or a tall building or up on a mountain. However, when I have to stand on a chair to change a light bulb, etc, I am scared shitless.

Terrified. I can’t even watch videos of people when they’re on a tall building or doing something really high. I didn’t used to be, but it has just become a real phobia as Ive grown older. It’s paralyzing.

Gives me chills now when thinking back about the times I had to get out of my safety belt and climb up and around the derrick on drilling rigs.

Don't like being up high with floor to ceiling windows or an overlook (like at the Grand Canyon) or somewhere like the John Hancock Bldg. in Chicago.

Had a panic attack at the Hancock Bldg. after 9/11 and had to leave the observation deck.

But I will fly. Makes little sense.

As I've gotten older I'm much more leary of uncontrolled heights. If I'm strapped into something or there is no possible way to fall I love it but I trust my balance less and less as time goes on.

I concur.

I don't have the use of one leg, so it's a risky venture when I mess with the air filter of the AC.

I try to avoid them, but I am not scared to fly or anything like that. One time in Las Vegas I was on the huge Ferris wheel you see in some cities and I had no problem getting on it and didn't even really think about it in terms of being scared of heights, but for whatever reason when we got to the top and it stopped I started to feel like I was panicking.

I didn't make a big deal out of it and kept it to myself, but I had to close my eyes and do the whole breathing thing to settle down. I was more concerned about actually panicking that being high up, but I have watched some videos on youtube where the camera is videoing down from heights and that can give me a slight nervous feeling.

I’m not fond of them but it depends. Things like flying don’t bother me or driving on mountainsides.

I do not like climbing anything such as a radio tower or something like that.

Everyone has a natural in born fear of heights.
Those men you see working at heights worked to overcome their fear, like men.

I have no problem flying an airplane, but I take a swimmin’ in the head if I’m on the roof of my house.

I know this is safe, but it’s unnecessary. I watched a 6’5” 300 lb friend have his picture taken there, but I won’t do it.

Everyone is afraid of heights. It’s biological.

Some people just have better fear regulation through exposure or just natural disposition.
