That’s my argument for having some type of national healthcare coverage plan. Covers everyone but also has copays for everyone. The taxpayers benefit from their taxes and the non tax payers have at least a little skin in the game. Plus i don’t think the fact that if you’re too sick to work you lose your healthcare benefits because they are tied to you being employed makes a bit of sense.

Anyway, that’s my unpopular opinion.

Thank FDR's EO for that one.... "benefits" came into popularity during the wage/salary freeze of ww2.

I told my wife a couple months ago I don’t want to watch the local news at 10 anymore

It was nothing but war, murders, or something with kids that was always bad

We now just watched Seinfeld reruns and I sleep much better

Yeah, i’m not at all for socialism but i don’t believe the healthcare being tied to either employment or government model is ever going to be completely scrapped in this country unless, well, the country is completely scrapped. The current system punishes the “producers.”

I'm a 90s kid, and one of my friends the other day had said to me, "we grew up in one of the best times to be a kid, and are now in one of the worst times to be an adult." It hit me how fricking true that is.

Strap away from the 24/7 news cycle, especially social media. You will realize it's just there to keep you mad and engaged.

Yes... blame white women for the thugs preying on the populace.

Not the thug who thugged out.

White women voting is why women are judges and why criminals in places like br get off easy.

The problem with voting for change is that the other choices in the ballot are crap as well. Anyone that wants to change the system or has values will get squeezed out by the machine already in place at any cost, and they are evil. They will do anything or sacrifice anyone to stay in power. It is a downward spiral that can’t be fixed with the current system.

I have news for you. You aren't voting your way out of this. BR's destiny is officially sealed.

How's that for "PROGRESS"?

Excellent point! I bet his mama was proud.

I'm guessing his point is that white women (AWFULs) and their loser soy boys have made excuses for thuggery for generations and enabled the rapid expansion of shitty behavior. Just more midnight basketball, more resources, more welfare, "it's not their fault!"

College educated white women voted for Kamala by a 17% margin over Trump. You probably don't like facts.

Yeah, I'm absolutely fed up with paying tens of thousands of dollars in taxes on anything and everything every single year. What do we get for it? My wife(no pics) spent years on the street as a cop, and I'm a small business owner with a part-time job as a FF/EMT. We pay personal income tax, business income tax, personal property tax, business property tax, franchise tax, match a payroll tax, pay sales tax on anything we buy, it just goes on and on and on and on and on and on. This is why you can't vote your way out of this. The politicians, both parties, are stealing your money, enriching themselves, then giving it to these groups to assure they get re-elected. This is what they call "progress".

Our destiny is already set. A Jeff Landry getting mad once every decade or so won't put a dent into decades of purposeful social engineering.

Make no mistake, every person that voted for this garbage loves it and wants more of it. Innocent teenagers dying is just part of "any means necessary".

Which isn't to say we don't already have massive abuse of power here, but at least we have a semblance of freedom of speech. We don't get arrested for FB or TD posts.

FB and other social media platforms will be canceling people again as soon as another Democrat is elected POTUS. It happened to me last time and will happen again.

You have been in a soft civil war with your fellow Americans now for 30 years. Take it from someone who was on the side of the left for a long time. These people hate you. They want you and yours silenced and killed. Events like yesterday bring them tons of joy. These events are the fruit of their voting. This is all happening for a reason. One day of Jeff Landry saying strong words won't change what is coming. It won't get better, at least not for normal people.
