I wish I had a family to be tired of.

Yeah, probably wouldn't be so bad, but I miss being in my own apt/space/bed, etc

Not me my family is cool as shite. My parents are super conservative and my bro and I got drunk on Christmas Eve he was passed out hugging his dog while my mom tried to wake him up to do advent candles. Best Christmas ever.

In-laws have been living with us since the August flood. I'm fine, really.

Actually no. We buried my moms younger sister yesterday. Kind of a wake up call. My parents are coming over today for lunch and I look forward to it. Be thankful for who you still have because you never know when they might not be a phone call away.

Sorry for the loss of your Aunt.

It is hard to take your advice completely seriously though with your icon & screen name of MotorBoater.

Only certain members. I could hang with my parents, grandmother, and uncle on a regular basis (and do with my grandmother and parents).

But my aunt and my two cousins are another story. One is 19 and 4 months pregnant with twins. The other has a 2nd grader. And they just leech off my uncle (who is the only one working out of the whole bunch).

Small doses.

I have only spend a few times with them last week. Only a few hours at a time, but my immediate family is my mom, brother and sister and their families. My brother has 1 kid and my sister have 2. My sister's 2 are in their 20s and my brother's son (my godchild) is in 7th grade.

They are my half brother and sister... And my brother and sister only see each other during Christmas.. My sister's husband is one of those who gets worked up easy over politics and religion. My mom is remarried, but her husband goes with his kids years, which was the case this year.. My mom asked me to go over there for lunch today, but one of her husband's daughter's and family is there and everything pretty much revolves around them. She initially told me lunch was going to be ready at noon, called me earlier and told me that she wasn't sure when she will be serving lunch because his daughter had a change of plans.. Its usually an awkward situation..

Everyone at every party I went to seemed happier- I think the Trump win really paid benefits- everyone felt more alive, never heard Merry Christmas said so much. The only negative was the damn heat. Wanted some freaking cold weather!

I'm tired of your family. You can have your wife and mom back. I'm done with them.

I'm on the opposite end. I didn't get to see my family over the holidays so I'm missing them.
