it's the only thing that's keeping us from giving Nola back to the river.

Yes it's a good time and good parade. Home town home decorated floats.

I haven't been in 8-10 years as I've been a driver in houma since then.

I must say tho, houma Mardi Gras is a great experience and much safer if NOLA is too much for most. It's also much more kid friendly. Not in all spots of the route but there are many family friendly spots.

Went in 2016 to Bacchus. Got slap drunk. Made poor decisions.

Have hated it ever since. That night I realized I had to grow up. I was 30 acting a fool. I quit really drinking later that year. For good two years later.

I avoided all Mardi Gras before that night and I'll continue avoiding it.

I was comfortable saying good bye to Mardi Gras, and then we started having kids.

Mardi Gras with kids is exhausting and terrific. Far and way my kids favorite holiday.

When they become teenagers I’ll probably want to retire from Mardi Gras again.

Nothing made me hate Mardi Gras balls more than attending DC Mardi Gras a few times.

I like to get drunk and party, but all the expensive and superfluous shite that Mardi Gras comes with makes it a pain in the arse.

I endure a few parades a year for my kids.

You're asking that question to a board that's only hobbies include church and blaming the opposite political party.

Those fat fricks don't know what a good time is and hate anyone who they see having a good time. They'd rather people be miserable like them, which is common among miserable people.

Me. Haven’t been since I was in undergrad 9 years ago.

Would like to take the kids when they get older once or twice but after that I’m done

What was crappy about DC Mardi Gras? I’ve always heard it’s fun.

That’s what parades are like for most locals.

We are trying to get a sponsorship to get our Festival queen up there one year.

Everyone of the festival queens that have gone love it, the local people I've talked to enjoy it also

You know, your right.

The frickers on this board just seem to be miserable and want everyone else to be also.

No matter the post, it's always negative bullshite.

My favorite is when they like to trash good looking females and act like they wouldn't be caught dead with them, reality is their mostly all overweight slobs that the girl wouldn't give the time of day anyway. Funny what anonymity on the internet does to people

DC Mardi Gras is the epitome of 'the swamp.' It is politicians and consultants lube each other up to rape the average joe.
