If I can talk the Dave the gnome into going with me to mg, I going to pimp him out to teach him a lesson for pissing off LucasP.

Dont tell him. It's going to be a surprise.

I've lost interest in it little by little... Going to every parade on St Charles to just the weekend before MG to not at all... I think the last time I went was about 7 years ago.. It's like going to a Saints game... A HUGE HASSEL. I don't miss it at all. Especially now with the carjackings and car break ins...

I've never understood the allure of going out into a mob of drunken people in an effort to catch cheap plastic beads. But maybe that's just me

if you don't like Mardi gras then there's no real reason for you to live in Louisiana.

I mean that in a good way.

The parades and partying are fun.
I find people who take it more seriously than that cringeworthy.

Are you from SE LA?

And no BR is redneck cowtown, not real SE LA Catholic culture.

So many ways to spin this to many many other things.

"Anyone else find sports cringeworthy?"

"Millions of people getting all up in their emotions about 18 year olds and what school they go to."

"I've never understood the allure of going out into a mob of drunken people in an effort to watch other people play a game"

I don't miss cleaning the front of our townhouse in the Quarter, and our neighbors and bleaching the sidewalk. Cleaning gocups out of the drain from our downspout and killing the cockroaches who used that drain as access to the sewers was never fun.

You don't like dressing up in a tux and pretending to pay homage to some college chick and a middle aged guy in tights?

Because you haven’t done it the right way apparently.

What’s your idea of fun then?

I’d rather stick needles in my fricking eyes than go to a parade.

I don’t know man, standing on the side of a street watching floats drive by and listening to sweet marching band music is rad

I think anything that fosters and builds a culture of community and common good and celebration among cities and their people should be supported and celebrated after how much we were forced to lose since 2020. We need our neighbors and our traditions.
