The market does not respond like an infant, shrieking at the first sign of displeasure. The market is patient, and we must be too.

You'd have more upvotes than downvotes if you left out the part about hurricanes.

Well at least you’re honest about being a piece of shite.

Bingo like fire break around the houses no plants or trees within xx feet
Building materials
Maybe not build those huge aqueducts that whenever they have rain it’s not all funneled into the ocean.
Should have watched live rescue last Monday that would have blown your mind

I feel bad for them because their situation has been created by people with whom they stupidly and naively entrusted their welfare

Of course I have sympathy for them, because, well, I fairly decent.

HOWEVER, I was living in Sacramento during Katrina, and let me say this from experience, many of them expressed little concern about NOLA or the Gulf Coast during that time. In fact, I heard quite frequently, "who cares, its just New Orleans", or "who cares, these people should know better and leave".

So yeah, I have great sympathy for them, because I am not like the blowhards who acted like asses during Katrina.

West coast has fires, gulf and east coast has hurricanes, Midwest gets huge tornadoes every year, blizzards pretty much cover the rest. Where the frick do you think all those people should live?

I was about to post the same thing. Natural disasters happen in every part of the US.

I care more about their pets and animals than the people in the effected areas.

You’ve got to be a heartless bastard to not feel sympathy for a family that as their home completely destroyed and all their possessions wiped away.

I understand what you’re saying, but it’s still heartless.

You are not worthy of this handle.

It's as if Louisianians have no frame of reference for mismanagement and corruption in the public and private sector that screws over its citizens.

So yeah - it's the people who didn't mismanage anything who are at fault.

Idiot.

Well and reducing underbrush with planned cuts, rotating controlled burns every so often, etc. in strategic locations would help stop this shite. But those lazy arse enviro wackos won’t do it. They see those measures as doing violence to Mother Nature.
