2. DO NOT “flame the board.” “Flaming” is the deliberate act of creating a post in order to incite members of the board and invoke a negative response.

I have sympathy but I don’t think others should have to pay for it. Floods, Hurricanes, Fires, etc should be on homeowner and insurance companies.

This is happening right here in Ascension Parish. It's been a hot button issue in the elections.

I never said they couldn’t live there. They shouldn’t receive any federal assistance. Their employer should increase their wages based on the added risk as well as maintain proper insurance.

This is happening all over south Louisiana. They will just blame it on climate change.

This isn’t true. They would have very cheap property values (way more affordable) and higher pay. The market always takes care of these things over the long term.

They shouldn’t live there

California could stop this by engaging in proper forestry management practices. But they refuse and also probably couldn’t afford to anyway. frick them.

Look, no one is more critical of Cali’s absurd politics than me. However, I do not wish anyone to lose their homes, livelihood and family like that. We’ve had our share of tragedy, living on the Gulf Coast. We should be able to relate to losing everything.
