Anyone else besides me turn off the Amber Alert and Weather Alerts on your phone?

The amber alert was from New Iberia. My phone got it and I'm 200 miles away from there. If they want people to ignore these things, they're going about it the right way.

Turned mine off like a week ago when we got one in North Georgia at 1:30am for some car that was leaving central Florida but seen heading North.....pissed me off....10 hours away

How dare these Amber alerts let me know someone was abducted a few hours away from me. Everyone knows when you abduct a child, you stick around only in the area you abduct them. There has never in the history of kidnappings been a child who has been taken and traveled more than 1 hour away.
You people are sick. Amber alerts have saved children’s lives and you assholes are pissed because an alert disturbed you. If it saved one child, i would be ok with an alert every night. All of you saying it annoys you must not have children and if you do, I hope you never have to be in a situation where the Amber alert is needed for your child.
