I don't think I could bring myself to turn them off. But man, that alert scared the crap out of me this morning...somehow it makes my phone louder than I thought physically possible....

Phones need a way to delay them until morning. Amber alerts are useless to people sleeping.

I was in a restaurant once when an ambet alert went out and everyone's phones went off at once. It felt like we were being invaded by Russia or something.

I do, my wife doesn’t. Scared the shite out of me last night when it went off, she was like “ what if I would have known that kid?” Yeah, if it just so happens that one of the 20 kids you know gets kidnapped, I’m pretty sure you’d hear about it from another parent without having a god damn alarm go off at 1 am

I turn it off.
I don’t care what the weather is doing. I don’t care about amber alerts either.
They are both like flu shots. I am all for “others” getting then and I agree they are generally helpful.
I am just too busy to be bothered with them.
