This same call has appeared in my phone from California, Maryland, and now Florida.

I assume this is legit and my freedom is almost over.

I got one a while back from “The Department of Social Security Department”. I suppose I’m officially on the lam.

My favorite part of it is when they reference "the cops" (actual words) will come to arrest me. Yeh, a representative from a real federal agency is going to use that term. I'd like to get them to clarify who they are talking about. I mean the official term should be "po po", right?

I screen calls so I've never been on the line with them, but one left a voice mail which was transcribed on my phone, and included this gem: "...don't let this get you arrested...".
I'm almost proud that southern dialect has made its way into scam calls.

i took one of these calls a few months ago and had some fun with them. They were calling me by my middle name that was there first mistake. I asked the person for their IRS employee number(the IRS gives this to you before every conversation ) she puts me on hold and a guy comes on a reads me a 10digit number 5 digits to many. I then ask him to confirm my social and he says that is against procdure. I then tell him that calling someone by there middle name normally means your full of shite and he hung up. they haven't called back.

I’ve received 9 calls in the last 3 days telling me my IP address has been stolen by people in a foreign country. The number calling me is my own cell phone number.

I'm afraid the "legal proceedings" have already been started. Nothing that a grand or two might stop, though. In prepaid debit cards.

That is a good deal turn over my bank account and SS # to people who are not US citizens! Sign me up.

I don’t answer numbers I don’t know, but I know several people who have gotten them recently, under threat of arrest and such.
