Anyone drive or driven an Infiniti Q50?

Curious what you thought of them?
Im going to trade in my Altima soon and was looking at getting a new Altima, Maxima, or possibly the Q50 if you think its worth the money.
Any feedback is appreciated.

Very pleased with my Q50. We have the 3.7. Great great car.

Im really impressed with the interior, specifically the large center display.
Is it pretty good? The only negative ive heard on the car is it gets bad gas mileage

If so, yes. I rented the 4 cylinder model a few times and liked it. It's not my favorite car in that class, but it's definitely one I would consider.
The two door model (Q60) is very nice looking.

I had the 50 as a rental once and liked it.
My in laws just got the Q70L and it is really nice. I'm 6'4 and there is around 6 inches between my knees and the front seat when it's pushed all the way back

I think the Q50 is on the short list for us since it can be had with all wheel drive. It's more performance oriented which I like.
I was looking at the Acura TLX and I am also interested in the upcoming Buick Regal GS. Not sold on the Volvo S60 though. The Lexus IS and Cadillac ATS both feel much smaller to the point of being cramped.
Either way our next car will have all wheel drive and feature a quieter interior than our current Honda Accord.

My friend has one, he likes the engine, but says gas mileage is bad and the interior is bland and boring.

Are you looking at the 2L, 3L, Hybrid or the Red Sport?
The Q50 is in the VERY competitive entry lux class and there are at least 7 or 8 cars I would choose over it.
The worst aspect is the steering feel, by far the most disconnected of any in the class. Note it is drive by wire steering and there is no actual mechanical connection (though it can lock into mech moe if there is a failure). Now if you aren't looking for a drivers car and prefer separation from the road then it might be a positive for you.
The second worst issue is the tranny. It is a hunt and pecker.
The projected reliability is lower than the class average, it has pretty high NVH for the class (save the steering) and the seats are rather flat and unsupportive again for the class. It does have reasonably good horsepower from each of its engines and handles reasonably well with a little more bias toward oversteer than some in the class. The brakes are fairly powerful but I found the bite relatively soft but the ability to modulate them was good.
It is certainly not a bad car by any stretch but if you are spending entry lux sporty sedan money you have a lot of cars to test drive. I would suggest you also test drive at least the A4, C class, 3 series and IS.

Get the Q70. If your getting the q50 just buy a toyota or a honda instead

I drive a G37 and loved it. Wrecked it and went up to J37 and like it.
We just traded that one in for a 528I and would never go back.

The Q50 has only been around for 4 years and had an update in 2016. That said I almost always agree with buying used for widely available cars.

I rented one a couple of years ago for an 8 hour drive. It would not hold a straight line on the interstate. I was constantly having to make corrections as the damn thing pulled left and right. For 8 damn hours. I was exhausted by the time I got where I was going.

The newer models no longer force Direct Adaptive Steering on you. It’s an option package.
I had a G37 Coupe about 10 years and now own a Q50 3.0T Sport. My next purchase will likely be a Q60 Red Sport as well. I’ve driven a ton of VQ powered cars, so I’m very familiar with Nissans.
The Q50 is a great vehicle. The new turbo charged engines and 7 speed transmission do introduce a little feeling of lag/gear hunting and can be frustrating. This is especially noticeable in traffic or when engine braking then accelerating. However, when accelerating or spirited driving, the power and handling is great. The steering feel is much improved.
The interior is fairly intuitive, and most important to me I?t doesn’t have the “iPad” on the dash. The screens are integrated into the console layout. The touchscreen can be a bit slow, but I don’t find myself messing with I?t too often.
I?t depends on what you’re looking for in a vehicle. It’s a slightly more affordable performance oriented sedan.

I've got a G37 and i have never loved a car more. Drives like a luxury car with a racing engine. Can't beat it.
