I’ve got a mini goldendoodle and a mini aussiesdoodle and a typical grooming appointment is upwards of $300+ for both dogs…

Their dogs. I don’t give a shite if they don’t like their haircut… it’ll grow back.

I’m sure that like with anything I’ll get better and better and grooming them.. I’m just wondering if anyone has a suggestion about what device/clippers are good (or which clippers are shite)

TIA.

I raised Springers back in the 90s and got tired of paying a groomer. I got pretty good at it but buy a good set of clippers. Don't go cheap. I learned the hard way.

Yes, I cut mine about once every few months.

He's a standard and 18 months.

I use Andis AGC2 ultra edge. About $200. Recommended by the groomer.

I've gotten better over time.

What's the point?
Women don't understand that "grooming" a dog doesn't decrease the hair the dog leaves behind.

How much do you pay your maid a month? Stop sending the lab grown dogs to the groomer and just bring the quasi-legal maid in more.

We’ve always had Scotties, and my mom has cut their hair for as long as I can remember.

Depends on the dog breed and whether they are a pet or have other purposes (show dog, hunting dog, etc).

We have a mutt and a cocker spaniel. We’ve taken to grooming both ourselves because the mutt doesn’t benefit from a pricy cut while the cocker is dumber than what comes out her own arse and any professional grooming of her is wasted money because she will mess it up within 2 days.

Designer breeds like labradoodles? Pay the fricking grooming fee.

Owlie does. Then he glues it to his head.

Depends on if they have double coats. You don’t want to frick with a dong’s inner coat if they are double coated and I’d leave grooming tonthe professionals if that is the case.

Take your dogs to a pro, New Iberia should be handled by a pro.

You’re dogs will be publicly scorned for how ridiculous they look.

I tried once. Used my old human hair clippers. Dog hair is different and wouldn’t cut easily
