I was in Medellin and Caragena in October last year. Food was great and everything was really affordable. Never been to Bogota.

my friend has gone to Medellin TWICE this year. Thats how awesome it was for him and his latino friends. He told me you can roll into town with $500 and live like a vegas highroller

Bogota is nothing to write home about. Cartagena is way too touristy

Going to Cartagena and the surrounding cities in early May. One of my best friends is Colombian -- he always says Bogota is meh. He suggests Cartagena, the coffee triangle, or the amazon.

Drove around Bogota a few weeks ago. It's pretty much the slums, but compared to some other parts of Colombia, it's decent. A few of the neighborhoods definitely made me thankful I was just playing around on Google Street view.

Bogota is awesome. Go to Zona T for nightlife and restaurants. Stay safe and don't get drugged by locals. Learn Spanish

I've been inside a Colombian. I'd imagine the location is mostly similar to my experience. Warm and wet.
