It doesn’t matter if he believes it or not.

We will see in the next few months whether or not all other diagnoses are down or not.

I suspect they will be significantly down, which means all of the ones who would normally present with those complaints are presenting with corona instead.

Me either. Being 80 has nothing to do with it. It's a joke shell of what it used to be.

90% of our 150+ hospitals are at 50% or less capacity with patients because of a few things:

1. No elective stuff
2. No other illnesses or trauma because everyone is crazy disinfecting stuff and there is no one out getting hurt
3. People are scared of going to hospital for anything for risk of contracting C19

And in that order.

C19 is only big in a couple facilities in select markets.

Check, check and check. And the fourth reason is because the majority of the people are following the C19 directives. God only knows where that one ranks, but there is no doubt it has helped keep the numbers down.

No, it's a legitimate question to look back and see just what we gained in exchange for economic Armageddon. You have to control for some things, like decreased car accidents. But there's truth to the fact that old and infirm and generally really unhealthy people are going to die of something. Many covid deaths would've been pneumonia or flu or something else. And an all-cause analysis removes the issues with "presumed" CV19 deaths and "with CV19" deaths being included in CFR.

It isn't some big gotcha. But you don't have to believe in a hoax theory to find it instructive in a retrospective cost-benefit analysis.

The false dichotomies and straw man arguments on this board have gone off the rails.
