Didn't race but my childhood friend did religiously. There was a place called Armadillo Downs here in Houston we used to go to.

BMX.... Hutch, Haro, Diamond Back, Redline, GT... Good times!

I worked at the mall and spent every dollar I made on BMX.

Same here. I raced a redline and my best friend was sponsored by CW. My son now rides that same 84 redline. Seems like it's the only chromoly frame in existence. The other kids don't even know what to make of the original UNI seat.

Redline, Mongoose, or Diamondback. Anything else and you're a nerd.

Good times when the gate would malfunction and slam closed throwing everyone over the handle bars.

We had a little bit of everything in my neighborhood: Skyway, Torker, Redline, Hutch, CW, Kuwahara, Elf, Robinson, Schwinn, Mongoose...we cared for those bikes more than most people cared for their cars.

If you consider watching the movie Rad ad nauseum as a kid then yes, yes I did.

They had a guy in my hood with a rare DG bike. We would all drool over it. I don't think he even raced it though.

I have that song "Send Me and Angel" on my workout play list.

I remember going to watch BMX races somewhere in BR in the 80s. Where was a track at in town?
