I'm helping you dieters by eating the food you're not.

5 lbs down since New Years. Had a weekend that was not that great though.

I'm not really on a specific named diet. Just making better choices, and watching calories and intake of protiens/fats/carbs.

Diets fail. They ALWAYS fail. Lifestyle changes involving portion control, regular exercise and proper food choices are the only way to remove sustainable weight and actually keep it off for good.

I understand what you are trying to say, but that's still a diet. It's just not one you need to have a name for and pay money to buy the stuff to claim to make you lose weight.

False. That Subway diet works every time it’s tried.

Kind of on a diet but just eating healthier and smaller portions. Instead of a sandwich and chips for lunch I might just eat a few slices of turkey and some almonds or a cheese stick. Also quit drinking and smoking cold turkey on New Year's, going on two weeks and I feel better than I have in a decade.

I thought it would be hard to stop drinking because I did it as a hobby and for socializing, but the physical benefits have been so stark that I haven't even had a craving. People keep asking me if I'm doing it for a month or a year, but it might be a forever thing for me. I had a moment of clarity and don't see any real benefit from drinking anymore.

Nice work.

I am using MyFitnessPal to count calories. Have never really done that before. I plugged in my weight and my target weight, and it calculated that I need to keep it under 1830 a day. That's what I've been doing. I cut out sweets and drinking (except for special occasions). Feel good.

Same thing for me. MyFitnessPal is an amazing, and super helpful app. I'm also trying to keep it under 1800. The first few days were hard, because I felt so damn hungry. After my body adjusted it became pretty easy. I'm pretty easily under 1800 most days. A few I've even had to eat a little something extra to get over the 1200 calories it requires. Add the exercise to it and I'm coming out 7-800 calories under some days.

I eat once a day. If I quit drinking I would weigh 88 pounds.

Yeah, that's just as bad as eating a shitload of food every day.

Work out.

Eat less calories

Stay away from simple carbs.

You'll lose weight. Easy as pie. Sugar free pie...with no crust.

You’ll get better and hopefully more inspiring answers there.

Read “The obesity code” and all I can say is that guy is laughing at all you calorie counters who are not also considering the bodies hormone reactions to certain food (mostly complex carbs) into your thinking about the way you eat.
