Unfortunately I have to fly to Atlanta for a couple of days of staff mtgs and the office dinner takes place during that time.

Our flamboyant gay co-worker that made everything awful (but also lively) died at Thanksgiving.
He got plastered and passed out at my 10 year anniversary in September. Also kissed me on the cheek in front of my children, which wasn’t appreciated but was humorous.
Probably going to be a bit somber but good bonuses handed out.
ETA: I work for a small company of (now) 5 people. 3 of them have the same last name. My boss’ son and his wife are my wife and my age so we always enjoy getting a little tipsy and cutting up. Nothing stupid.

Work for a global software giant where are the majority of us work from home.
There is no Christmas party no Christmas bonus, but generous benefits. I’m moonlight with a family owned outdoor company and Monday night. We’re having the steak of our choice and all the food we can eat, and some small tokens of gratitude will be exchanged. Pretty good people, so I feel fortunate to be there.
