Can't remember if it was Orange Beach or PCB but we raked sand fleas and caught a couple of pompano a few years back.

Bonus was some nerd walked up to us at 6:15 AM and asked if we wanted to fight him.

Be sure to leave your shrimp right outside the front door of your condo. Makes for a nice aroma on the second day.

This is true.

March, April, May.

November.

At least that's when the big pompano runs are.

I'm going down for the Blue Angels homecoming show in November and plan to fish some.

You'll have better luck fishing the pass under the bridge. There's a wall on the west side of the pass under the bridge where you can fish. I basically fed myself an entire summer from all the reds I pulled up from there.

Leaving today. Caught a few pompano, but mainly pinfish (and a stingray). I only fished early in the morning and at dusk when beaches were relatively empty.

I’ve never been so desperate to fish that I wanted to fish in a family vacation spot along the redneck riviera.

I’ve been spoiled with fishing coastal marshes and offshore in Louisiana. Why would I aggravate everyone around me (and myself) to catch 1 or 2 trash fish?

I was coming to post something similar.Having been spoiled by Louisiana inshore and offshore fishing there’s no way I’m hauling gear down to the beach and fricking with all that to maybe catch a few fish all day.

Some of us don't want to take the family down to Louisiana for vacation either. Honestly, I got into it because I get bored sitting on the beach all day. But that's what my wife enjoys. Our trips out west, Alaska, etc are the vacations I really look forward to.

I wasn't knocking anyone that does it assuming it's not mid day on a crowded beach full of swimmers. If I'm at the beach I want to be floating in neck deep water drinking a cold beer. To each his own
