actually it was the other way around. He basically ran off any profs that had Calvinist leaning theology. But, it was pretty much political in nature and you hit the nail on the head with the narcissist projects at the expense of campus infrastructure.

Family is from up there, they are Teetotalers. Grandfather used to have a 7up can wrap for his beer so no one would know he was drinking.
I'm guessing cozies weren't around back then.

My girlfriend went there 08-13. I followed her up there and went to LSUA for a little while before I transferred out. I couldn't deal with either Alexandria or Pineville anymore. Just terrible places to be.

She absolutely hated it too. There is absolutely nothing to do there, Pineville was dry then, I am assuming that hasn't changed. I never heard any of her friends say they liked going to school there.

Serious question. If you go to a religious private school all your life and you take religion every year. What is there left to teach when you get to college? I can understand classes like "history of religion". I went to catholic school for four year, it seemed like they taught the same shite every year.

I graduated in the 90’s. I chose it for different reasons, raised catholic but never really had anyone preach at me. Turns out it was a good place for me at that time of my life.
The professors I had were awesome and I learned a lot. More about myself as it was a difficult time in my life outside of school.
I’ve heard it has gone down hill since then as some of the awesome professors I had left under difficult circumstances.
Not for everyone,but I didn’t need to be partying at that particular time
Otherwise, I can’t really find much good to say about living I central Louisiana
